This Week, Revmotosports would like
to introduce to all of our amateur riders and followers here on The Motocross Lifestyle
blog of a new transmission fluid that we are currently running in all of our
machines. This new synthetic transmission fluid was designed, tested, and
developed by AMSOIL and has shown outstanding performance in all of our racing
machines. AMSOIL Synthetic Dirt Bike
Transmission Fluid delivers confident clutch feel and
excellent gear protection unlike any other transmission fluid we have tested.
This synthetic blend allows our amateur riders to ride more aggressively and effectively.
In addition, helps our team mechanics spend less time performing irregular maintenance.
This product was designed to improve race results and the riding experience for
the average weekend trail riders. Choosing the correct transmission oil for
your racing machine is a key element in overcoming clutch slippage or
inconsistent clutch feel, which can lead to slow starts out of the starting
gate and ineffective riding on the trail. AMSOILs new blend has been designed
specifically for dirt bike transmissions instead of the usual multi-purpose
motor oil. This oil has been fine tuned to provide excellent wear protection
for gears and clutch plates under extreme racing conditions. Our team over at
RevMotosports has tested this product and it has shown tremendous results. This
product has allowed our team to spend less time and money on lower end motor
maintenance and more time on the track. We highly recommend all of our riders
whether you race competitively or trail ride to try AMSOIL Synthetic
Dirt Bike Transmission Fluid.

2016 YZ250 Review
Today I wanted to write a quick review on the new 2016 YZ 250
motocross bike and address some of the new features that Yamaha has included on
this model. First things first, this year Yamaha continued to use the lightweight
aluminum frame design that has been carefully designed to ensure optimum
handling in a wide range of track conditions. They will again be running with the
48mm KYB forks that they first introduced to the YZ 250 last year. This spring
fork design uses piston speed to control damping force for super-precise
handling and rider feedback. In addition, they will also have a fully
adjustable KYB rear shock that has 12.4 inches of travel for improved
performance. The engine design this year is all new with a 249cc liquid-cooled motor
and Yamaha’s new patented power valve system. This provides the bike with
crisp, hard-hitting bottom-end power with a very strong mid to top-end pull. The
motor has a 38mm Keihin PWK carburetor to supply precise fuel to air ratios.
The bike will be equipped with a close-ratio five-speed transmission and a
race-inspired carbon fiber reed-valve system. Some of the new accessories for
2016 that Yamaha has equipped on this machine include the addition of the all
black Excel rims which give you that factory look right off the showroom floor.
Yamaha has also installed an oversized front disc for improved stopping power,
a gold O-ring chain, and an aftermarket rear sprocket. These additions allow
riders to roll this bike right off the showroom floor and begin competing. I
would highly recommend coming in and checking out this all new 2016 YZ 250.
