2016 KX 450F Product Review

The all-new 2016 KX450F motocross bike brings in many new features that Kawasaki has included on this model. Kawasaki believes in releasing their bikes as close to the factory bike as possible. They say, “What wins on Sunday sells on Monday.” This is why this year Kawasaki has developed a new lightweight chassis design that has been carefully designed to ensure optimum handling in a wide range of track conditions. They will again be running with the Showa SFF-Air fork forks that they first introduced last year. Last year, these forks were tremendously hash, and difficult to adjust with minor clicker and air-pressure changes. So this year Kawasaki was able to correct these issues to make it available to adjust for all skill levels. The overall action of the fork and shock is balanced and predictable to make this suspension set up one of the best on the market.

The engine design this year is all new with a liquid cooled 449cc motor (96.0 x 62.1mm) with a 5 speed transmission. This provides the bike with crisp, smooth power delivery with tremendous amounts of power to the ground. Some of the new internal additions to this motor include a new throttle body, piston, intake ports, intake valves, and camshafts. They have also reversed the direction of the air box to increase the air flow to the engine. Kawasaki believes that doing this had allowed their machine to increase mid to top end power while still delivering the smooth power.

This machine is defiantly the farthest thing from a toy and should be considered a weapon of the track. This bike can be extremely difficult for many riders to handle with the amount of power in can put to the ground. This bike is a learning experience on its own being able to master the power but when this is accomplished, that 2016 KX 450F is no bike to be reckoned with.

Kawasaki has developed some new accessories for 2016 that keep their bike looking like a real factory ride. Kawasaki has equipped their 450F machines with the all new black Excel rims which give you that factory look right off the showroom floor. They have also equipped these machines with an all new plastic and decal design for the 2016 year. In addition, they have developed a new exhaust system that is very sleek and at the same time delivers a tremendous amount of power. I would highly recommend coming in and checking out this all new 2016 KX450F.
