First-ever Monster Energy Supercross Holeshot Challenge

This weekend’s Monster Energy Supercross race at Atlanta Georgia Dome will host the first ever Monster Energy Supercross Holeshot Challenge. The AMA along with the FIM World Championship and NASCAR have teamed up to make this one of a kind event possible. The Holeshot Challenge has given 7 lucky NASCAR drivers the opportunity to throw a leg over a dirt bike and experience what it’s like to take off from a starting gate and race to the first turn. Our Friends over at ''motocrosspress" have written a similar article on this new event and have listed out exactly what brand machine each of these drivers will be riding. Many motocross riders believe that the start is the most key element in winning a supercross main event. It will be interesting to see how these athletes will adapt when they are staring down the start straight before the gate drop.
Motocross racers are known to be some of the worlds most determined and well-conditioned professional athletes to have ever lived. NASCAR drivers on the other hand are also gifted with equal talents of being able to understand the in’s and out and operations of some of the world’s fastest race machines. This event is very unique in its structure by allowing these professional athletes to compete on racing machines that are not routine to them. Todd Jendro, Vice President of Operations said “many of NASCAR’s best drivers grew up racing motocross and have a deep appreciation for Monster Energy Supercross and what these athletes do on a weekly basis.” The Monster Energy Supercross Holeshot Challenge is going to be a motivating and entertaining way to illustrate what these athletes go through on a daily basis.
