RedBud Outdoor National

As an amateur sponsored rider for RevMotosports we require all our athletes to train on and off the bike every day. This will ensure our riders are in the best physical and mental strength when it comes to race day. As the local weather is getting warmer the outdoor tracks are beginning to open. The outdoor motocross season is right around the corner and all the riders are looking forward to their favorite tracks. Our local track here at RevMotosports is that of Red Bud. The outdoor national at Red Bud is always held on the 4th of July weekend because this track is a perfect representation of moto Americana. This Michigan venue hosts some of the craziest pit parties on the entire circuit and also holds some of the best racing of the year. Red Bud is a favorite track among most riders for its pristine dirt and several huge-yet-enjoyable jumps. One of the Gnarliest Feature is that of Larocco’s Leap. Laracco’s Leap is a 120-foot triple step-up right out of a corner, in front of the grandstands. This jump is one for the spectators and many gather around to watch these riders soar through the sky. All our sponsored athletes will be well prepared for this event and we hope to see you guys there.

2016 Motocross Helmets

At RevMotosports we truly believe that your motocross helmet is probably one of the most important pieces of riding gear. In addition this piece of gear should considered being replaced every few years to insure its safety. Protecting your head with the latest technology and safety features is the most important approach you can take to dirt bike riding.
Bones are something that can heal but your brain tends not to after a significant hit to the head. Don't ride wearing a dirt bike helmet that doesn't fit right, older than five years, has been in a crash or just looks worn and torn. If you're sticking to a budget make your helmet is the first piece of gear purchased before anything else. I’m not trying to say go out and buy the most expensive motocross helmet because that is not the case. The best motocross helmet is the one that fits you best and allows you to ride comfortably without impairing your vision or technique. Secure your head before moving on to any other riding gear.
This year Fly Racing was ranked extremely high with their 2016 motocross helmet designs and safety ratings. Fly Racing makes a few different models that range in price from $100-$500. Every model they design have the same safety standards; DOT, SNELL M2010, ECE and AS certified. Some of the features that the helmets include this year are a composite construction shell, 11 intake and four exhaust vents, and tri-vent google anti-fog vents. These features really separate their products from their competition.

Tough Weekend in Daytona

This last past weekend, the Monster Energy Supercross circuit stopped in Daytona Florida for the 9th round of the championship chase. This track always draws a lot of attention due to its large track design by Ricky Carmichael that is built on the infield grass. This one of a kind event is always one to remember but this last past weekend’s race was one to mark in the books. After some tight racing and harsh track conditions, the risk of making a mistake were growing larger. Towards the end of the night we witnessed two of the largest crashes of the year as riders fought for every position. James Stewart and Davi Millsaps crashed out of the night’s race and would not come back. They have recently released statements about their injuries and if they would return for next weekend’s round in Toronto. James Stewarts race team reported that after the crash in Daytona James suffered from severe bruising of his lower back and chose to no race the rest of the evening. He would report to be okay to race by next week. Davi Millsaps on the other hand would not be as lucky. His race team has reported that Davi has suffered broken rips and a partially collapsed lung when he crashed on the last lap of the Daytona race. They have also addressed that his return for the rest of the season is questionable.
